The Kobie Bryant conversation brings to mind Tiger Woods declaration that he is not black claiming that he is a CABLINASIAN. Although the statement bothered a lot of people he was right. Claiming to be black is equivalent to insisting on being a member of the black race. Since race is not a scientifically valid concept, cant understand why anyone would insist on being a member of a bogus group. I understand that it is in the interest of some people to claim racial distinctions. It is not in the interest of people of color. The term that I coined and use is EBOSESIAN; one who is a descendant of Africans in America but who reject the racial classification.
