The Ku Klux Klan, originally founded in 1866 for the purpose of terrorizing black people, experienced a rebirth in the early 20th century. In 1925 40,000, Klanspeople march in the nation’s capital proudly celebrating white supremacy. Throughout the United States, the Klan intimidated black people, immigrants, and others through beatings, arson, rape, bombings, and murder. Despite such blatant violence, the KKK continued to enjoy popular white support, even counting public officials such as mayors, sheriffs, and governors among its. (Corbis) So, I ask have we become so complacent in our society as we concentrate on our own wealth (if the shoe fits); that we can no longer hold up our heads and look those individuals in their eyes who continue to push their message of white supremacy as it appears that some of our members in Congress/Supporters have been doing over the past years and now it appears with their most recent efforts on the shutdown of our Nation and strongly state to them “Us free”. That we put an end to this continuous rebirth of the concept of Jim Crow because if you don’t understand today it will be you tomorrow; therefore, I continue to express these words has I piggyback off the book title of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “Why We Can’t Wait”; to you the people of this Nation “Wakeup Why Are We Still In A State Of Poorness”; the complete message will be coming to you in the near future in my book title “One Mans’ Quest For Freedom: Who’s Watching Me Now!”.
