The Kulsumpura police have arrested a man and his cousin sister for the brutal murder of his three-year-old step daughter. According to police, the accused, Mohd Nayeem, a resident of Sabzimandi, murdered Baby Zainab with the help of his cousin sister Shahjahan Begum. Baby Zainab was the daughter of Nayeems wife Sumaiyya Begum and her first husband. Nayeem got married to Sumaiyya in July this year after she got divorce from her first husband. However, the couple had strained relationship which consequently resulted in the brutal murder of Baby Zainab. On September 19, Nayeem borrowed his cousin Amanullah Khans car on the pretext of going to some work. Meanwhile, he told his wife that he was taking Baby Zainab to Warangal for admission into a residential hostel. He was accompanied with Shahjahan Begum. They proceeded towards Nalgonda and when they reached near Lothkunta Tank near Valigonda, Nayeem strangled the girl using a rope. When she fell unconscious, he hit her with a stone on the head which led to her death. Later, they concealed the body in a cement bag and threw it in the Lothkunta Tank. After returning to home, Nayeem informed his wife Sumaiayya that Baby Zainab has been admitted in the hostel. However, Nayeem was gripped under the fear of being caught by the police. He left the house on September 25 without informing anyone and started spending nights on footpaths near Seven Tombs of Golconda. Meanwhile, Sumaiyya grew suspicious and lodge a complaint with the police. Subsequently, a team led by Kulsumpura Inspector R Karan Kumar Singh began investigation and solved the murder mystery
