The Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is an international treaty. The Kyoto International Convention entered into force on 21 March 1994. Geneva/Nairobi, 7 September 1999 - In a further effort to combat the recurring forest-fire/smog problem in South-East Asia, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in collaboration with the secretariat of ASEAN, the Association of South East Asian Nations, is helping to establish a legally binding agreement on transboundary haze pollution in the region. The ASEAN Agreement on Haze Pollution will be the first international treaty addressing transboundary air pollution outside of Europe. Will the ASEAN Countries bring Indonesia to the International Court, and charge and file in a case against Indonesia violating the Kyoto Protocol UNFCC treaty and ASEAN Convention 1999 in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
