The LAST Southern Discomfort Tour is this April. WESTERN/EASTERN SHORE OF MARYLAND-TIDEWATER VIRGINIA-VIRGINIA PIEDMONT-NORTH CAROLINA PIEDMONT AND TIDEWATER-SOUTH CAROLINA LOWCOUNTRY/UPCOUNTRY-ATLANTA AND MID GEORGIA-FLORIDA-ALABAMA BLACK BELT-WIREGRASS-MISSISSIPPI DELTA-HILLS-BLACK BELT-TENNESSEE-ARKANSAS-NEW ORLEANS-SUGARCANE ALLEY - CAJUN COUNTRY-TEXAS-EAST AND AUSTIN. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? We have a set budget and limited time. We are wrapping up the last road trips for the book this April and May. If you are a chef that wants us to come by please, let me know by March 25th. If you are a farmer, a food producer, a food journalist, if you have the hook up at archives or libraries, etc. Let me know. We need all the help we can get - home cooked meals, places to stay, people to do interviews, elders. Thanks everyone for being so incredibly supportive.....we have seen just about every part of the South and searched for The Gene in over 50 Southern cities and towns so far...we are exhilarated to finish this up for the book.
