The LATEST REVIEW on Clyde Whites book from someone who knows neither me or Clyde: A Book for People of All Walks of Life. Well Worth the Read. December 22, 2014 By Joseph Hvezda Verified Purchase I had the distinct honor of being able to do a pretty extensive phone interview on radio with Clydell and I was pleasantly surprised. First, Clydell has a fantastic and motivating story that I would recommend to anyone out there looking for such stories as motivation in your own life, or for something to present or recommend to others. The path Clydell took is a unique one in this day and age. While he is saved, I found his attitude refreshing. As an agnostic non- Christian, I expected my interview with Clydell to be replete with, if youll excuse the term, preachiness, and I was wary at first. But Clydell impressed me. There is a reason Clydell is a successful Preacher and its because he speaks so well and so articulately that its impossible to ignore him. He is gentle in his speech, yet compelling. But Clydell is More than just a Preacher in the Church, he is a real leader in our country, a man to pay attention to and heed. The biggest thing that impresses me is Clydells complete and utter acceptance of responsibility for his life and the wrong turns it took. He blames no one but himself and even at his worst in the story, his awareness of that is in the forefront. His Faith, his wife and his family give him strength, but the secret to strength is knowing what to do with it, and Clydell does know. He speaks of the problems in this country today, and outlines them with precision. He doesnt come right out and say that everyone needs to get back to the Bible, as I have heard so many vaguely articulate, but he talks about personal responsibility, Fatherhood, Motherhood, leadership, the importance of family and of charity to others. He speaks of being a mentor and the challenges he faces being a Man. Clydells message addresses people of all faiths or no faith, people who consider themselves Leaders and people who need to be led, People at the highest point in their life and those at their lowest, who might think they have no hope. If I have a criticism, it would be in the editing. Clydell needed a better editor for this story (hence the four stars) because his story deserves it. I would like to see a longer book with more detail. Clydell has a wonderful story to tell. A story of good decisions and bad ones. A story of a Man at the height of glory and at his lowest moments. A story of family, faith, loyalty and redemption. A story you should not pass by. Pick this book up and read it. You wont be disappointed.
