The LDUC is having its 2013 campaign to raise funding for the organization. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization. Your donation is tax deductible. In 2012, half of our funding was directed toward patient care. Other monies went to Lyme education materials, such as massive brochure reproduction, to distribute worldwide; book purchases to educate doctors; and large purchases of the Lyme film "Under Our Skin", for education purposes, as well as doctor education fees. We aid patients in need, globally. Our pantry is currently bare of funding, and we are sending out our annual request. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Future projects the LDUC is working on: A hospital and nursing home, specifically for Lyme disease patients Eco-friendly apartments for Lyme disease (Ld) patients, to rent at a low cost. (Many Lyme disease patients are homeless, or about to lose their living arrangements due to divorce). Mental hospital for Lyme disease patients needing such care. Currently, normal mental hospitals do not allow a Lyme disease patient to remain on Lyme disease treatment.
