The LIberals are up to their usual tricks. The measures Hockey and Abbott are taking: ▪ scrap Labors reforms to the fringe benefits tax, particularly on cars ▪ not proceed with Labors plans to tax superannuation earnings above $100,000 ▪ scrap the Low Income Superannuation Contribution, which pays up to $500 on top of employer contributions made to superannuation for workers earning below $37,000 a year, so they are keeping tax concessions for higher income earners but scaling them back for low and middle income earners ▪ scrap plans to put a $2000 cap on the amount people can tax deduct as self-education expenses ▪ plan to sell GrainCorp - our National body for sales of Australian famers grain - to an American company - at least the Nationals object to this one! So it is business as usual at the Coalition - everything for the big boys and sweet F all for the battlers.
