The LORD is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?.... Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.... My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “ LORD, I am coming.”... Teach me how to live, O LORD. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.... Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. (Ps 27:1, 3, 8, 11, 14) These are just a few verses out of Psalm 27 that depict our struggle in life with trusting God in the midst of the struggles of life. I know that often I have to remind myself of who God is and what He has brought me through. There may always be an enemy that wants to attack, but I can stand firm in the knowledge that my God is always there to encourage me to come to Him and get advice and I can know with confidence that He will lead me along the right path.
