The LORDS lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions - TopicsExpress

The LORDS lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him.…Lamentations 3:22-24. 2014 has been a good year for us, the Lords lovingkindnesses indeed never cease. HE is our portion as we ride this roller-coaster life with Joannes dementia and two active young men living with us. Samuel has remained at the university (an honor student, Sophomore Class President, ROTC, Student Affairs Council, etc...etc...etc...) while he has reapplied for a slot in one of the Service Academies (Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and Naval). He has received nominations from all of our Congressional/Senatorial representatives, so now we wait (again for the third time) to see if one of the Service Academies will offer him an appointment. We trust that God has a WONDERFUL plan for this PERSISTANT and DEDICATED young man~!!!! Solomon has grand plans for his future too. He started his Sophomore year at Greenwood High School this year, but is seeking to attend ASMSA (Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts) in Hot Springs, AR next year. If he gets in and graduates from the school, he will have earned enough college credit hours to be a Junior in college when he begins that journey. He took his ACT exam in November and his scores were among the highest you can make on the exam. I foresee many trips to Hot Springs in our future. Joanne has been living with us for the past few years. I am her primary care giver with Lynn and the boys helping as needed. She can appear normal to others during short visits or conversations, but her brains capacity to remember new things for longer than 5 minutes is gone. I have to pick out her clothes for her each morning, but she still loves to pick out her own jewelry and will spend up to an hour each morning making sure she picks out the perfect butterfly pin, earrings, and necklace to go with her out fit. She attends a Senior Activity Center each week day, which she loves. They play bingo, work on puzzles, eat a wonderful lunch, and occasionally she gets to sing if someone is there playing music. She plays her Marimba at our church every Sunday....without ever having to practice the music. The brain is AMAZING~!!! Lynn continues to LOVE his job with the university. He started his 11th year as the head of the Paralegal program in June. He is the go to guy for local media as a legal expert when there are cases in the news. He was honored for his service to the Arkansas Continuing Legal Education Board as the chairman this Fall, and has been nominated for an outstanding teacher award by the university to be awarded in the Spring. I am very happy and proud that he loves his work and does it so well. My year is always a reflection of my familys year, so needless to say, I have had a wonderful year as caregiver, mother, and wife~! My prayer for you is that you can see the blessings of the year that has passed....and find the blessings in the new year ahead~!!! With love always, Ann & family
