The Lady Cardinals came up just short against USF in a five set thriller. Trailing 8-11 in the fifth, Ball State came storming back to take the lead at 13-12. The Cardinals would have three chances to put the match away but could not convert. South Florida takes the set and the match (28-26, 18-25, 25-21, 14-25, 18-16). Kylee Baker struggled in the first set to find her way around the USF block, but she found her rhythm and led the way for the Cardinals with 18 kills. She also racked up 16 digs and five service aces without committing an error from the line. Ball State will host in-state rivals IPFW on Wednesday for their home opener. Come out and be loud in support of your Cardinals!
