The Lakeview Boys (12-5) are looking to get back to the 2A state - TopicsExpress

The Lakeview Boys (12-5) are looking to get back to the 2A state championship where more than likely Riverside will be waiting. But there is a lot of work to be done still for the Gators as they are in a transition with new head coach Brian Williams who is bringing a different BUT effective style to the Gators that includes a more half court oriented game. The Gators will be able to forced turnovers in the half court with their length, quickness and size and can still get out run while staying out of foul trouble. Junior Adrio Bailey has been the man on the offensive end for the better part of the season and dont look for that to change with the 66 athletic specimen. Senior Malik Metoyer is almost a microcosm of Bailey at 67, long and lengthy and a hand full down low. Senior Tay Hardy is the perimeter explosiveness the Gators will need when they get into District against North Caddo and then come Feb. when the playoffs start. Senior Aaron Savell, I still believe, is going to be an x-Factor for the Gators down the stretch because of his poise. Tonights win over Richwood could very well be the start of great things to come for the GAtors. While the record is not what it was at this time last year, the Gators are still battle-tested and capable of beating anybody on any given night. When this team hits its stride, Class 2A better be on the lookout.
