The Latest: ....Yesterday, the Obama Administration continued to show its disregard for America’s First Freedom, issuing a statement that it “strongly objects” to a proposed amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would have protected the religious rights of our armed forces. ....This meeting came on the heels of other shocking instances of religious hostility, including an army training presentation in which “Evangelical Christianity” and “Catholicism” were listed as examples of religious extremism, alongside Al Qaeda and Hamas. ....Yesterday’s statement by the Obama administration is alarming and should greatly concern every American who values their religious freedom. Our brave service men and women gave their lives for our freedoms, and now, our own federal government is refusing to protect theirs.
