The Law is an ASS and i took great pleasure in telling the Distict - TopicsExpress

The Law is an ASS and i took great pleasure in telling the Distict Judge the same. I also told him that Fixed Penalty Notices issued for other offences carry the right of appeal and queried why those issued in relation to time off school dont carry the same right of appeal. Apparently there are no exceptions to the law and even being suicidal isnt a justified reason for not taking your kids to school. Told judge he might as well throw book at me then cos I have no intention of paying the fine imposed on me. Judges response... thats for another day My parting shot to the Judge was if i was unwell in the future i would not be taking the kids to school. My parting shot to the attendance officier (who didnt look at me once during the hearing) was Ill see you next time luv Funny they are not worried about you taking kids out of school so long as you pay the fines (which DO NOT have an instalment facility). Just another way of this beaurocratic government raising additional funds at the expense of the poor!! I also find the additional fine of a Victim Surcharge laughable. Who exactly does that get paid to? As far as Im concerned the victims in these situations are the kids (something the judge mentioned to)!!! Well the kids are definately the victims YET AGAIN because they have to live with an ill mother day in & day out!!! Todays farce just adds to my stress. I asked who would be taking my kids to school if i become more ill & have a breakdown??? They didnt have an answer for that though. Told them i would be going to the papers and tv about this. Judge flippantly suggested i see my MP as it would take someone like me to take the law on. Well Mr Judge.... if i was well enough to take on such a campaign i would be fit enough to go to work. How long would it take for job centre to then drag me in to say i was fit to work?? *ankers the lot of them!!!
