The Law of Inertia I. Introduction Isaac Newton postulated the three laws of motion. These laws of motion describe the relationship between force acting on an object and its motion. These laws became the scientific view of the universe for several years.(Three laws of motion) II. Problem What is stated in the law of Inertia and how can we apply it to our daily life. III. Hypothesis Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist a change in its state of motion. IV. Objectives Let’s try to find out V. Methodology A. Mterials: Cart String Stuff Toy (Teddy Bear) B. Procedure: First tie the string into the cart. Put the stuff toy inside the cart, then pull the string of the cart with the force. VI. Analysis and Result The first law of motion or the law of Inertia states that an object at rest will continue to stay at rest and an object in motion when continue to move with constant speed in a straight line unless acted upon by an iknternal force. we can apply the law of inertia if! The jeepney and the passengers are initially at rest. Due to inertia, when the jeepney moves, the passenger tend to retain their original state of motion (at rest) when they moved backward. VII. Conclusion The inertia of an object is diectly proportional to its mass. This means that the more massive the object, the harder it is to change its state of motion. Likewise, the less massive object is, the easier it is to change its state of motion.
