The Law of Love, Not the Law that Passed Away here are two - TopicsExpress

The Law of Love, Not the Law that Passed Away here are two quotes that the dispensationalist make constantly and treat them as if they are synonymous in there meaning. “Christ fulfilled the law” “The law had passed away” There only problem is neither of these are in the Bible. They claim they interpret the Bible literally however literally these quotes are not there. However they believe in these false quotes fervently. The closest verse to their miss quotes are these. “Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. Matt. 5:17 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. Rom. 3:31 Obviously the plain reading of the text is exactly the opposite of what the dispensationalist teach. Fulfilled Let us put this in the physical instead of the spiritual. For a glass to be “fully filled” it holds the liquid all the way to the top, with no room for any more. For the glass to have “passed away” it must be broken and unable to hold any liquid at all. If fulfilled were the same as passed away, then all the Gentiles are in great trouble. . . . they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive among all nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21:24 However we know that Gentiles do not pass away. He shall judge between the Gentiles, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Gentile shall not lift up sword against Gentile, neither shall they learn war any more. Is. 2:4 If they are passed away, how can they be ruled over? It’s all about Love “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” John 14:15 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Rom. 13:10
