The Left has panicked over nothing. Its not a disaster. Its nothing more than a good program that is suffering from a poor start. It is not the end of the world. The Right would have us think that this will define the Obama years. They would like to think it will, but one of the major items the Obama presidency will be remembered for the struggle of our democracy under the terrorism of the Rights obstructionism and their manufactured scandals. They are trying to make this blunder into another of those scandals. Could the introduction have been handled better? Yes. Should Obama have been better informed? Of course. Is it a disaster? Not unless we panic and allow fundamental changes to the ACA that guts the program of providing coverage to those who cant get affordable coverage now. While I am at it, we are allowing the Right to dictate the terms of the discussion now. As an example, the myth that Obama lied about keeping coverage. He did not lie. The ACA grandfathered in existing insurance policies regardless of the policies effectiveness. If people liked their policy they could keep it. The policies that are being cancelled because they dont comply with the ACA guidelines have all been introduced after the ACA was implemented. These policies were introduced by the insurance companies with their knowledge that they did not meet standards, were not grandfathered and would have to be cancelled. They were introduced in a cynical effort to embarrass the President. The people that are lying are the insurance companies and the Right with the medias help, not the President. The facts mean little to the Right. It is still important that we know what they are and for us not to buy into the Big Lie propaganda the is being used .
