Luke Kelly was, and still remains, one of Irelands greatest musicians, entertainer, storyteller and the list goes on. His shoes are no easy ones to fill but Chris Kavanagh pulled it off with aplomb. With Chris at the helm and an exceptional three piece band behind him the legend came to life right in front of my eyes with small anecdotes and a set-list lacking in nothing. From Whiskey in the jar to Scorn Not his Simplicity, The Auld Triangle to Raglan Road, Chris Kavanagh stole the audience away with the familiar 5 string banjo twang and powerful vibrato that made Luke the artist we all so fondly remember. The respect shown by all musicians on stage to Lukes music was truly remarkable and the only flaw was there wasnt time for any more songs and stories! > With all due respect as a musician and songwriter I genuinely think Luke would have been immensely proud of the show that was put on. > Matthew Moran
