The Legislature this year included $1.25 million in our budget for Girl Scouts of Hawaii because we recognized the important role the organization and its facilities play in the lives of our developing keiki. These camps, including Camp Piiholo located above Makawao Town, foster the growth of young women to help them thrive and become our future leaders. I am pleased that the Piiholo Girl Scout facility will receive much-needed infrastructure improvements. This project is timely and will benefit generations to come.
