The Lehigh County Conservation District, in partnership with the PA Fish & Boat Commission, Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, and Perkiomen Valley Trout Unlimited received Growing Greener Grant funds to restore a 415’ stretch of an un-named tributary to the Hosensack Creek in the Perkiomen Creek watershed. The site is located along Palm Road in Lower Milford Township, Lehigh County, at the PPL Substation.Volunteers are needed to help plant native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers along the stream to establish a riparian buffer! Planting will start at 9:30AM on Tuesday, September 16th. If it rains that day, we will push it back to Wednesday, September 17th (same time). Feel free to bring gloves and a shovel!
