The Lens of Grace For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 2:8-9 One day I recorded myself saying Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. I had heard this scripture preached for many years, but I really didnt have a full understanding of it. So I made the recording, added some music and listened to it over and over again. I knew faith comes by hearing and I was desperate to understand, not with my head, but with my heart. Finally, I heard it seemed like for the first time. Thats what revelation will do, you hear God, then you really hear Him. I heard what the spirit of God was trying to communicate all along and tears began to roll down my face. A huge ton of weight lifted off of my shoulders and I knew I was free. God supernaturally delivered me! I never could understand where all of the fear, anxiety and depression was coming from in my life, but God showed me that it came from me trying to live outside of His grace. Outside of Gods Grace is where Condemnation lives. Until we come into a real and true knowledge of grace, we will always look at our lives and see where we have fallen short. We cant see Gods promises because all we see is our sin. It is the tree that blocks our view. But if we look at our lives and see Jesus, there is no sin blocking anything anymore, and you then can receive from Him. See your life through the lens of Grace. Youre not on punishment with God! Youre not grounded! Youre not in time out! You are free! You are loved! You are holy and are made righteous through Jesus! Your sins cant disqualify you and your good works cant qualify you! You are covered by the precious blood of Jesus and He has great and awesome plans in store for you! Prayer: Thank You God! I receive Your love and Your grace. Reveal to me Your truth and set me free. Help me see my life through the lens of Your grace. Correct my vision. Help me learn to walk in Your freedom and newness of life.
