The Lenten season is a period of receiving freely given divine healing Love, a period of a deep experience of the saving Love of the Cross of Calvary, an experience of the God of peace who draws close to us even though at times he seems far away. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1Thess 5: 23). God in Jesus offers us inner healing from the wounds of our sins, of past negative experience, to help us accept that we are forgiven, and to experience that power of forgiveness in order to be able to share that forgiveness we have received from God with those who need our forgiveness. This requires few moments of silence everyday, in Lent, silence is golden because it is in silence that we come to know God: BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD (Psalm 46:10)!
