The Lesson (2014) – the debut art film of Latvian director Andris Gauja - has the best chance to become the most attended film in Latvias cinemas in 2014. This is a story about a young teacher trying to establish a connection with a class of unruly students. As the boundaries between the teacher and students gradually start to fade and one of the students falls in love with the teacher, she must face a hard choice - to succumb to personal happiness or to adhere to her own ideas of a good teacher.
