The Libertarian Party is well represented but what other ideas are - TopicsExpress

The Libertarian Party is well represented but what other ideas are being offered to South Carolina voters as a replacement to US Sen. Graham? As summer draws to a close, school starts back, and we head into fall the subject among many South Carolinians will be on the upcoming senate race and who will beat US Sen. Graham. With four candidates already in the race (Listen, if I don’t count me then who will? Ha.Ha.) the discussion will eventually branch off to – WE HAVE TOO MANY CANDIDATES! Well, I hate to break it those people but I would be surprised if we did not get MORE before the filing deadline arrives in March. (Counting Graham, I expect there to be a minimum of 7 candidates running for the seat on the Republican ticket alone. But then with Graham already running, why would the democrats need to run?) I believe multiple candidates running is a good thing and here’s why. Sen. Graham is a two-term incumbent with a “favorable” poll rating (among some in the state that do not get that involved in politics) and reportedly over $6 million in his campaign account. You will not beat that type of incumbent with just one or two marginally known candidates. (I can accept that few voters in the state have heard of me but other candidates need to accept that, compared to Graham, they are not that well known among the less involved voters of the state. And some of those voters will need some convincing to understand why Graham MUST GO.) This will require many different candidates approaching the problem from different sides. With both Nancy Mace and S.C. State Senator Lee Bright in the race I believe we can all agree that the Libertarian Party is represented. I am not sure where Richard Cash falls but we all know that US Senator Lindsey Graham is left of moderate. That leaves a little space for a true Christian Conservative to round out the candidate list and that is where I come in. There is not a single candidate, at least not at the moment, that can turn the numbers necessary to beat Graham outright. The only chance South Carolina has to return the seat to a true Conservative is to force a run-off with Graham and that will happen only if enough voters can see how destructive he is to our state and country. To show Graham for what he is, it will require every candidate, in their own unique way, to discuss the good they have planned for the state and country in relation to the harm we know Graham has brought and will bring if he is re-elected. I expect this to be a very hard fought senate race and cannot see where any candidate can afford to pull punches. I also believe there will be two candidates that in the last month will break away from the rest of the field and one of them will end up matching up with Graham in the run-off. But before any of the current “front” runners get a ahead of themselves, they would be wise to remember they will need candidates such as me to force that run-off. (Everyone needs to remember that my campaign can only help in the ousting of Graham. And afterall, what serious candidate fears a candidate that they have never heard of? I am here to help on that.)
