The Libertarian Party statement on the Hobby Lobby ruling is exactly right. We should be separating health insurance from employment. The fact that employers pay for health insurance at all was an artifact of wage controls during World War II -- government regulation begetting ever more government regulation. Hobby Lobby wouldnt be an issue at all if people just bought their own health insurance, the way they do with life, home, auto, and other types of insurance.
