The Lighter Side Of Life... There are many moments in life when one is pleasantly surprised by ones offspring... and then there are moments when we are not. Ill start with the pleasant as not to be labeled as being a pessimist Like all normal people , I too love surprises especially when the surprise is from my sons. This year as we got together for a family wedding, my first born surprised me by gifting me with my first Iphone, that changed my world instantly. To say that this has now placed me in the ranks of the new generation is rather an understatement. This little piece of technology has opened doors for me that I never knew existed before. I can now stay in touch , talk , get photos of all my favorite people, of course my adorably handsome grandson topping that list, in a matter of minutes. After owning this very useful instrument for some months now, I cant envision my life without it.It would certainly be suffice to say that this hugely useful gadget has become my partner(not in crime, of course..!)but in life. My every. morning now starts with seeing the latest pranks , my little grandson is up to now and so in a way , the huge distance between us has diminished making it so much easier for his doting daadu...to being a part of his life despite the miles between. Now that I have joined the league of Iphone begums , most of my time is spent sending messages to all my near and dear ones, and getting theirs in return. In other words,my declining youth has stopped declining...At least that is what I thought till just the other day.... , I was simply trying to type out a message but it was taking me longer . Muttering to myself as I tried to get the words right, not knowing that my younger son was there in the room, I tried unsuccessfuly to type . Trying to help me out. , my son looked at me and very innocently said, Ammi, your phone does carry a bigger font for senior citizens , you know..! What can I say..such innocent words but distressingly so close to home , did not do much for my youthful vanity but again, trying to look on the brighter side, I did get my message right..finally..! What would we mothers do ,without our helpful sons...!!
