The Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court today convicted accounts assistant in government, Victor Sithole, of all three charges levelled against for being found in possession of K112 million and foreign currency. Magistrate Patrick Chirwa made the ruling after failing to do so late last month. The case started last year after Sithole was found with K112 million, $31,850 and R122, 200 at his house in Area 47. The first count he was answering in relation to the discovery of the money was illegal possession of foreign exchange. Sithole was also answering charges of being found in possession of property suspected to have been stolen and money laundering related to the same money found as second and third counts respectively.
