The Little Sisters of the Poor do not want to provide contraception coverage to employees of their nursing homes as this would violate their religious beliefs. The Little Sisters of the Poor provide care for the elderly poor, regardless of their religious affiliation. As the sisters refuse to serve and employ only Catholics, they do not meet the qualifications of a religious employer. The Little Sisters of the Poor were named to NOWs Dirty 100 list earlier this year for daring to stand up for their religious beliefs.
