The Lone Ranger , starring Johnny Depp, features many San Luis Valley locals as extras and crew, and will premiere on July 3rd. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on that date, before the film screens in the valley, the Southern Colorado Film Commission and Adams State University Community Partnerships are hosting a premiere reception to celebrate the San Luis Valley’s contributions to the film. This Lone Ranger themed reception will highlight filming activity in the San Luis Valley as well as the unique features we have to offer the film industry. Refreshments will be served. Door Prizes will be given. This event will be open to everyone to attend. The Southern Colorado Film Commission and ASU Community Partnerships would like to extend a special welcome to the extras and production crew.
