The Lord Reigns! He is clothed in majesty. He is clothed in majesty and armed with strength. The world is set and it cannot be moved. Psalm 93:1 Think of some things that are opposites of each other: black/white, up/down, north/south, wet/dry, good/evil. Michael/Lucifer, God...God... God has no equal. Physics tells us that for equality, there must be balance. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. This is the truth of opposites: equal power. Its comforting to know that God is all powerful. On earth, its easy to think about God and satan being of equal strength, always fighting, sometimes one winning, the next time the other. But thats absurd! Theyre in no way equal. God is omnipotent-all powerful. Satan is not. God is omniscient-all knowing. Satan is not. God is omnipresent-everywhere at once, ruling over all. Satan is not. God is eternal. Satan is a created being. I like this. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized that ancient serpent who is the devil and satan, and bound him into the abyss, closed it, and put a seal on it so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the 1,000 years were completed. After that he must be released for a short time. (Revelation 20:1-3). Did you notice - there was no battle, no fight, no wondering how it would turn out. God sent an angel who just chained satan up like a bad dog and threw him in the pit. No fight and no problem. Just a wiping of hands after taking out the trash. Then, did you notice the last part? He must be released for a short time. He cant even get himself out of the pit. He has to be let out. Shows you who really is in charge, doesnt it? As you watch the news, you will see horrifying scenes of war, natural disasters, and mans inhumanity to man. It would be so easy to think, Where is God in all of this? Be assured, my friends, He is right in the middle of all of it. He knows what is happening and what is going to happen. He knows how it will all turn out. He wins! Father, please help me remember that regardless of what I see going on in the world, You are all powerful.. Nothing happens without Your permission. You are ultimately in charge. Amen Psalm 93
