The Lord had Noah build a great ship. He gave specific instructions on how to build it, what to put in it, on it and about it. God saved his family through his obedience, although the one thing God did not have Noah put on this great ship was a steering wheel. While Noah was building the ark sin of the world swelled about him. He had to stay focused, teaching his neighbors on what he was ding through the mockery of his faith, and when the rains started and the door was pulled shut; all control was given to the Lord. Noah had faith to give the Lord control over his life, his family and his future. The Lord landed the great ship on a mountain far above the Earths cleansed surface. Noah was not left to wander lost at sea; the sin of the Earth did not pollute his solace provided by God’s instruction. In today’s world we are like Noah, sin is berating itself about us; the tides of hatred are loud and fierce. We have the same faithful loving God working for us as did Noah, let’s follow Noah’s example and give God control. Let’s obey His commands and let the world be itself while we tend to doing His work commanded us. God will set us down on high just as he did Noah to rest atop Mount Ararat.
