The Lord is With You Read Zephaniah 3:17 Personality wise, I tend to be extraverted – my energy comes from being with and interacting with people. Loneliness is difficult for me. I must confess, sometimes it’s hard to just “... be still and know...” (Psalm 46:10) And yet, in our world of high speed technological connectedness, I believe it’s not uncommon for any of us to feel some sense of loneliness at times. Isn’t it wonderful to know that none of us are ever truly alone? In today’s text, God tells Israel (and us) that He is with us! As we strive to take up our cross and follow him daily, we must be aware that in our efforts to live apart and separately from a sinful world, we may very well feel a sense of isolation from the masses; and because loneliness is a painful feeling Satan may well use it to attack us. We may be tempted to compromise our beliefs, relax our dedication & convictions to fit in with the world, to be accepted & to avoid painful aloneness. Good news! We’re never alone. God is with us.
