The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie - TopicsExpress

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. Psalm 23:1-3 (ESV) As our Good Shepherd, Jesus wants to restore our soul. Like other things in our life, we want to go to the restoration booth, take 30 seconds, and come out restored. However, the reality is that it takes time to rest and refresh. We need to intentionally make time in our schedule to allow Jesus to lead us to green pastures and still waters. That is where the true refreshing of our soul happens. Look at your schedule and decide where you can make some time for God to restore you. Start small. Find a Bible verse that you like. Read it. Now sit still for 10 minutes. Be quiet in a quiet place. After a time or two of that, work on increasing the time. Praise God for the fact that He restores our soul.
