The MASTA team have been busy over the last few days, at various exhibitions, conferences and events. Business Show- Kensington Olympia (28th & 29th November) greatbritishbusinessshow.co.uk/ This event was aimed at business from a cross section of Industries offering a “wealth of opportunity, advice and information crucial for on-going business growth within a challenging economy.” This event was useful from both a business development and a marketing perspective, as we approached organisations sending people overseas, with information about MASTA’s portfolio of products and services and we also took some time to attend some of the many educational seminars being held. MHRA Annual Symposium- Hammersmith (2nd December) mhra.glasgows.org/page/view/gmp/ This is regulatory body which ensures MASTA’s wholesaling activities are carried out in compliance with the regulations. Some of the MASTA team attended to listen to the latest updates on GDP (Good Distribution Practice) regulations and took part in a couple of workshops. Know Before You Go Partners Networking Meeting- Foreign Commonwealth Office (2nd December) https://gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo As a ‘Know Before You Go’ partner MASTA were invited to attend an event on Monday in the Locarno Suites of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The Partner Networking Event provides the opportunity to meet the team, learn about campaign activity and network with other partners. This year we heard from Mark Simmonds MP, Minister for Africa, the Overseas Territories, the Caribbean and Consular Policy. We were also joined by Tom Nixon, founder of NixonMcInnes – experts in social business, innovation and digital culture. Tom Nixon spoke about changes required to help today’s businesses adapt to the digitally-driven business environment.
