The MSO has been set up! Visited my team at the new Municipal Services Office earlier this morning. Happy to meet the officers, all enthusiastic and passionate about the mission of MSO. We hope that smart technologies will bring greater convenience to Singaporeans in providing feedback on municipal issues. So we will deliver a new mobile app at the start of next year. This app is designed to provide Singaporeans with a one-stop convenience of sending their feedback. And with geo-tagging and photo-taking features on the app, MSO will also have precise information on the issues at hand, thus allowing agencies to act quickly. Meanwhile, we are also developing an integrated system for the eight participating agencies to share and monitor all feedback on municipal issues. The agencies will, at any one time, have access to case information (e.g. status and action taken) and work collaboratively to resolve the cases. My recent visits to SPF and LTA on their feedback management have given me a better understanding on their operations. Over the next few months, I will visit the remaining agencies (AVA, PUB, NEA, Nparks, HDB and PA) handling municipal issues. Meanwhile, I will keep you posted on the progress made.
