The MW team has just had tenders through from three companies who are detail design consultants. They will provide the definitive drawings against which MW can tender for the construction work itself, all new structures, method statements, construction environment management plans, final landscaping plans converging with the Shanly Chapel Arches and other schemes. The cross sectional drawings of the modified channel are due to be every 10m so we will exceed 200 in all and will together with the recent topographic survey allow accurate volumes to be calculated for excavation and disposal. The consultants also need to determine what extent and type of lining in the channel is to be used and to update the overall flood risk assessments. Another step closer to the project being built!!
