The Magic of Hawaii. When the people in the state of Hawaii were asked what they were the most thankful for at Thanksgiving, the overwhelming response was the laughter of children. We can learn a lot from that. They didnt say, youtube, Facebook, the Internet, Netflix, or stuff like that. The laughter of children. Hawaii is a special place. Both the words hello and goodbye are the same word, aloha, which means love. When you arrive they say love and when you leave they say love. But I have simplified the word aloha. It also means, at the same time, mercy, peace and compassion. Now, here in the mainland, what do we have? We have a huge supply of hate and a lack of love. Half of us are calling the protestors in the USA, thugs, despite the fact that these are folks who have come to the reasonable conclusion that their people do not get a fair shake in the USA. Even conservative Nancy Grace called out the Ferguson DA as white washing the shooting of that fellow. But if you believe that the one shot was a thug, well, you are entitled to your opinion. But all we have is more hate and no aloha. We hurry to make opinions, opinions that are based on God knows what. We rush to judgement, on both sides. Maybe if we had more aloha, that is, peace, mercy, compassion and love in our souls, none of us, regardless of which camp you are in, would be so quick to rush to judgment. Or be so vocal with our beliefs when people are suffering. We vote on the Internet but we do not vote in the election both. We point fingers but do not intercede. We need some aloha. We need lots more aloha. You know why we LOVE the sounds of children laughing? Because its innocent laughter. They are little people who only have very simple opinions about whether they need to be changed or want to eat. They are born with instant aloha. They love you from the moment they are born.
