The Malaysia Airlines B-777, flight 370 mystery can be unnerving - TopicsExpress

The Malaysia Airlines B-777, flight 370 mystery can be unnerving for air travelers. Historically, over many hundreds of years there have been countless ships lost at sea, and in the span of 85 (plus) years many airplanes have been lost, in all corners of the globe for some reasons never explained. The South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand are vast oceans where there is limited radar and VHF communication coverage. There are countless possibilities ranging from sabotage, sudden pressure loss, to collision with meteorites, external detonation, structural compromise or air piracy. My hopes and prayers are with the many international agencies leading the search and rescue/recovery efforts. GPS technology is utilized to accurately locate and track new generation aircraft. When Im flying at work, and an engine parameter becomes irregular or an aircraft system malfunctions, maintenance control in Houston sees it while Im flying. So who was monitoring the systems on the ground of MH flight 370 Saturday night? Somebody was, but its strange, it was never reported! Some agency had to be able to track the flight path via GPS technology. Seems strange that nothing was mentioned about this.
