The Male vs. Female driving dilemma: What is the cause of the dilemma and are females really all horrible drivers? Well, to get right to it, the different levels of estrogen and testosterone along with some differences in the psychological make up and capabilities of the female and male human do, in fact, create differences in the ability to drive. Females have the ability to process and store more different pieces of information at a given moment than males can (8 vs 6 items in most studies, as I recall), this creates a false assumption in a higher ability to multitask whilst driving, or to a lesser extent decrease the mental focus and attention to driving, both of which causing a higher tendency to have very simple errors that may or may not lead to accidents but have lead to the females are horrible drivers stereotype. (Psychologically speaking, females DO have a higher ability to multitask, which, however, causes a decrease in the focus to each of those processes. Also, females are -also psychologically speaking- less capable of NOT multitasking when the stimuli of different thought processes are at a certain level). Now lets go to the other side of this story; men. Again, the difference in levels of estrogen/testosterone and the psychological capabilities are the main controlling factors here. The inability to process multiple information and the higher tendency to focus on a single task in the human male mind creates an ability to focus better when it comes to simple driving. However, this ability accompanied with the aggression and arrogance inducing effects of testosterone, create a false sense of over-confidence in ones ability to drive, with which comes the recklessness and the retarded driving styles (ghoraz 3la 140 lel sob7) (if asked, more than 95% of male drivers will tell you they are better than average drivers). So, whos the worse driver? Well, after discussing the psychological aspect, statistics do say that women are slightly more likely to get into accidents (many studies in many regions of the world have been conducted). However, statistics also say that men are more likely to get into SERIOUS accidents, they are more likely to die in a car accident, and are more likely to cause the death of those around them. Choose the criterion youd like to decide based on, if you ask me, the inner me simply says drive next to a male in a busy street within the city, and next to a female on the highway, while the mesh 3ayz aza33al 7ad me would like to phrase it as Each is better on different terms, just drive safe w rabbena yostor 3leik, mesh far2a y3ne 5ales. You may correct me if you find errors in any of what is proposed above. Also, kindly bare in mind that the following does not take into account the exceptionally talented/retarded female and male drivers, simply because theyre exceptional cases.
