The Man who inspired PGW to (partly) conjure up his celebrated hen-laying-an-egg-imitator chappie Archibald Mulliner. F(rederick) Armine Wodehouse, a first cousin and near contemporary of P. G. Wodehouse, who was born on 23 June 1884. He was the son of the Reverend Frederick Armine Wodehouse and Alice Elizabeth Juliana Powys. F. Armine Wodehouse later became Professor of History at Agra College, India, where he died from enteric fever on 21 September 1912, aged 28.
