The Mayday campaign set a goal of raising $1 million in May, and met its goal in 13 days thanks to donations from almost 13,000 people like you and me (median donation: $50). As planned, that amount has been doubled by wealthy donors who agreed to match the $1 million if the May goal was met. Phase 2 calls for raising $5 million by July 4. Another group of wealthy donors has agreed to match if that goal is met. Can you picture $12 million being used to elect candidates running in close races in 2014 who have gone on record in support of overturning Citizens United and reducing the influence of Big Money on our elections?
