The Mayor announces no tax increase in Cranston this year clearly because it’s an election year!! Did you know : 1. He has already increased taxes drastically since he took office. 2. The increases he proposed were actually higher than the Democrat controlled Cranston City Council allowed. 3. The pension fund is only 20% funded which is far worse than the city of Providence and even the state pension system. 4. Cranston has the 5th highest car tax rate in the state. 5. Cranston has the 8th overall highest tax rate in the state. And he wants to be Governor. That is like a baseball player playing in Pawtucket wanting to get moved up to Boston with a batting average below 100! It’s April Fools Day, is this a joke?
