The Media, whether it be TV, radio, or the internet is combining to magnify human problems. It turns up the sensationalism on everything to produce a feeling that the world is a dangerous and unjust place, regardless to locale or ideology. It beings scattered issues into a large swirling mass that has the potential to surround the globe. I firmly believe in communication and think that the global communication and understanding is key to the continued success of humanity, but you need to police it to he nth degree. The truth of a story is not based on its potential to acquire ratings, viewers, visits, or likes. These days you have to have a BS detector like never before to be a consumer of the modern press. If you do not CONSTANTLY question what you hear, read or see in the media, you are an unfortunate soul. And you are just opening your life up to all kinds of upset. The problem is that many people today have no BS detection and take things at face value.
