The Member Monday Volunteers As many members know there is a group of members who form the Volunteer Group. They meet on most Monday mornings and carry out a wide range of tasks to assist in the maintenance and presentation of the course. The most regular task is to repair divots usually over the 18 holes including the tees. They also carry out other projects that require a higher skill level as identified usually by Peter Fitzgerald, our Course Superintendent Recently a group spent a number of Mondays painting the administrative rooms of the Maintenance facility. Their painting skills were certainly on show. The Course staff appreciated the significant effort in this perhaps the biggest project completed recently. Hope you can identify the painter in the picture. He did mention that the paint dried very quickly. The most recent project was to re-lay sections of pavers in the cart parking area outside the Golf Shop. This was a precision job which required quite a number of volunteers to supervise and provide helpful advice while having their hands on their hips ( rather like council workers) There were a couple of excellent workers who did an outstanding job. Below is one of most dedicated workers. He was so busy he refused to smile for the camera. Who is he??
