The Mercy of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) God states in the Holy Quraan, And We did not send You (O Dear Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him))except as a Mercy for the entire world. Some may say that due to the struggles that The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and His Companions (May God Be Pleased With Them All) were facing that Mercy by The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) had to be shown. To answer the above: Yes when The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) proclaimed His Prophet-hood oppression against both Himself and His Companions was meted out by those in power and mainly against those slaves and weak Muslims. (though was also at some of those wealthy and well of Muslims as well) To show Mercy when You have No Power to Do Much is One Thing but to Show Mercy when You have The Power to Avenge is Completely another matter. Consider this and note in the Life of The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) 8 Years after Migrating from Mecca to Madina (due to the difficulty of living conditions of the Muslims) the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) conquered Mecca which is known as the famous incident of The Conquest of Mecca. Now The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) had power to avenge previous wrongs done to Himself and His Companions and no one could stop Him in this. As those leaders who had a look of shame on their faces where present where The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) addressed the gathering. These Non Muslims had threw stones at Hi, had attempted to kill Him on several occasions, defamed, mocked and sworn at Him and even had knocked His Daughter of Her Camel Causing Her to lose Her Baby. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said to such people, Do you know what I shall do to you today? to which the reply was You are a Merciful Benefactor and the Son of a Compassionate Father to which The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) replied There is no cursing you today. Go. You are all free LOOK at Such MERCY.
