The Messenger of Allaah, Sallallaahu ^alayhi wa sallam, said: مَن شَهِدَ أنْ لا إِلهَ إِلا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وأَنَّ عِيسَى عَبْدُ اللهِ وَرَسُولُهُ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلى مَرْيَمَ، وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُ وَالجَنَّةَ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارَ حَقٌّ، أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ الجَنَّةَ عَلَى مَا كَانَ مِنَ العَمَلِ which means: “Whoever testifies that no one is God except Allaah alone without a partner, that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, that ^Isa (Jesus) is the slave of Allaah and His Messenger, and the good news given to Mary, and a soul from Allaah (an honorable soul owned by Allaah), that Paradise is true, and Hellfire is true, Allaah will admit him to Paradise no matter what he did.” This hadeeth was narrated by Al-Bukhaariyy and Muslim. This hadeeth means if a person says this special shahaadah at least once a day, Allaah will guide him to do good deeds that will be the reason for him to enter Paradise without torture. Why? Because the regular shahaadah alone, if one says that and dies upon it what does he get? Paradise. So this one is called the special shahaadah because it has an addition, i.e. it has a special merit, which is not just to enter Paradise, but to enter Paradise without torture. To practice this hadeeth, you start with, “I testify that...” And it is better if done in Arabic. Transliteration for what to say in Arabic: Ash-hadu allaa ilaaha illallaahu waHdahu laa shareeka lah, wa anna MuHammadan ^abduhu wa rasooluh, wa anna ^Eesaa ^abdullaahi wa rasooluhu, wakalimatuhu alqaahaa ilaa Maryam, warooHu-m-minh, wal-jannata Haqq, wa-n-naara Haqq Try to recite this with a teacher to make sure your pronunciation is correct.
