The Messenger of God(sa) said: Whoever wakesup and is not concerned with the affairs of Muslims is not from them. There are little variations of this tradition from Sunni and Shia sources but the message is one and the same. Sadly the recent genocide of Muslims in Central African Republic is largely ignored in the Arab media. Most of the graphic videos and pictures we saw were from Iranian media outlets. It is true that the Messenger of Allah(sa) and most of his Companions were Arabs but today Arabs constitute less than 25% of world Muslim population. This underlines the global spread of Islam that trancends boundaries and geography. This non-challant attitude of the Arab media to the genocide of CAR Muslims also extend to Palestine. I will not be exagerating by saying that the Iranian media covers Palestine more than the Arab media. The reason for this is quite clear, most of the leaders of the Arab world today are either ruthless despots or imperialist puppets or a combination of both.
