The Method of Encapsulation: We offer both hot water extraction - TopicsExpress

The Method of Encapsulation: We offer both hot water extraction (steam cleaning) and a low moisture encapsulation cleaning. Because of the power of agitation that encapsulation has, sometimes we recommend low moisture over steam cleaning. However, we get questioned a lot on how a yellow machine with no hose hook ups can clean carpets. Encapsulation is a crystallizing polymer that crystallizes around dirt and detergents. The crystallized dirt then drops to the bottom of the carpet where it can easily be vacuumed. Also, carpets often get stains that reoccur after cleanings. This is because the stain is in the backing of the carpet and comes back up when it is over wetted, which is referred to as wicking. This does not occur with encapsulation however. As the stain begins to wick up, the encapsulant crystallizes the stain so it doesnt restain the carpet. Encapsulation also has fast dry times because less water can be put down and the carpet attracts the encapsulant versus the water, allowing the water to dry faster. Ask us next time about which method will do better in your home!
