The Mid-term election are coming up and statistics show that the party the comes out to vote usually wins. Thus, make sure you let your voice be heard and cast your vote! Through out the course of life should all evolved and to a certain extent our philosophies and opinions may alter and progress. My hero, Muhammad Ali once said, A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life. Thus, we all change. This weekend I had the opportunity to speak to Charlie Crist and leaned that this former Governor experienced an epiphany while severing the state of Florida a few years ago, I was a Republican and I now see the light Crist stated. His charismatic approach reminded me of the last time I heard him speak MacArthur Stadium when President Obama was running for President for the second time. While attending this fund-raiser for the upcoming mid-term election, I also learned about the tremendous amount of support Crist intends to give to the Film Industry here in South Florida. He recently hosted a Film Industry event at a mansion for Florida’s film and entertainment industry leaders and legislators at the Governor’s Mansion. The reception, coordinated by the Governor’s Office of Film and Entertainment and Film Florida. and what interested me the most Charlie Crists support for incentives for Filmmakers in Florida. Film and entertainment business in Florida is a $3.9 billion industry, employing almost 34,000 Floridians in 5,599 businesses statewide. In 2007, Production Update magazine named Florida as one of the top 10 filming locations in the United States. In addition, Miami was ranked eighth among the top 10 cities for independent filmmakers to live and make movies and Palm Beach County was named one of the 10 “Great Locations, Coast to Coast” for filming. Of course all of the statistics date back when Charlie Crist was a Republican Governor of the state of Floida. Imagine what he intends to once he returns to office as a democrat. I am not telling how to vote but this type move would definitely help the economy in South Florida as well the entire state. Lorenzo
