The Ministry of Labor today said that its Labor inspectors, who are scheduled to kick off nation-wide inspection to chase labor regulation violators, effective November 4, are not obliged to enter private homes for the same purpose. In a statement, Hattab Al-Enezy, official spokesman of the Ministry, said inspections will be confined to labor-related business offices. However, he urged the public not to allow whoever is disguised as labor inspector or inspectors to enter a private home. Al-Enezy said the inspection teams are divided into three divisions: interior ministry teams in charge of looking after Iqama illegals, labor ministry teams in charge of labor law violators and governorates inspection teams in charge of whether Saudization process was properly applied. He confirmed that his ministrys teams will never tamper with the privacy of any business or commit impolite behavior while doing their job.
